Point Pleasant Borough Schools' Halloween Happenings

Halloween is Tuesday, October 31. Point Pleasant Borough Schools' invite students to wear “school appropriate” Halloween costumes. Costumes with weapons, including swords, knives, guns and wands, or any sharp pointed objects, will not be permitted, nor will excessively gruesome or frightening costumes. Please see below for school specific activities. Children are discouraged from wearing masks.

Ocean Road Elementary School

The Halloween Parade begins at promptly at 9:00 a.m. weather permitting*. Students should arrive at school wearing their costumes and necessary make-up. Bulky or uncomfortable costumes may be taken off after the parade. Please send a bag with your child's name on it for their costume. Students will parade from the gym doors around the perimeter of the field one time, and re-enter the building through the main entrance. Spectators should stand on the field.
*In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be cancelled. Students may still wear their costumes to school, but there will be no parade. The Honeywell Instant Alert System will be used to notify parents if the parade is cancelled.

Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School
Nellie Bennett's Halloween Parade begins at 9:45 a.m. weather permitting* Students should arrive at school wearing their costumes and necessary make-up. Weather permitting, the parade will be outdoors at the school field. Parade spectators should proceed directly to the field through the school parking lot. Students will emerge from the gymnasium doors, walk the perimeter of the field, one time, and re-enter the school through the gym doors. Healthy snacks may be dropped off before 8:45 a.m. Please mark snacks with the names of your child and their teacher.
*In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be cancelled. Students may still wear their costumes to school, but there will be no parade. The Honeywell Instant Alert System will be used to notify parents if the parade is cancelled.

Memorial Middle School
Students are invited to wear Halloween costumes to school. The Halloween Dance is Friday, October 27 from 7-9pm in the MMS Gym.

Point Pleasant Borough High School
Students may wear school appropriate Halloween costumes to school. A Halloween Breakfast and Costume Contest, sponsored by the Student Council will begin at 7:30 a.m. Disruptive costumes will not be permitted. Students who are unsure if their costume choice will be acceptable should err on the side of caution and not wear it. Any student wearing an unacceptable costume will be asked to change or alter the costume. If this is not possible, the student will be sent home.
